Service: CSAMT (Controlled Source Audio-frequency Magnetotelluric)

The CSAMT method (Controlled Source Audio-frequency Magnetotelluric) builds on the Audio Magnetotelluric (AMT) and Magnetotelluric (MT) methods. Its main applications are for mineral/oil/geothermal exploration, geological mapping and groundwater observation.

This method scans a range of frequencies so that a depth section resistivity model of the ground can be produced by doing post processing data. The main benefit of the magnetotelluric method is the depth penetration can be quite significant.

Applications:

· Mining exploration

· Oil and gas exploration

· Geothermal exploration

· Groundwater investigations

· Geotechnical engineering projects

· Mapping geological structure and lithology

Advantages:

· Non-intrusive

· Excellent lateral and vertical resolution with profiling

· Continuous display of data along a traverse
